- ABD, Faf and QDK have all but recovered from injuries which kept them against India in the final phase of the Tour and are available for selection.
- Temba Bavuma is not available for selection since he hasn’t recovered from his hand injury.
- The top order will look similar to the one that played against in the Test Series.
- There seems to be some debate on whether to play an extra batsman in Theunis de Bruyn or to go with Lungi Ngidi but Dean Elgar wanted them to go with 4-quicks but again that might be the tactics which is used by the Team Management to surprise the Aussies in the field by playing Theunis.
- This will be the final series for Morne Morkel so it’s all but sure that he will play almost every game of the series.
Australia –
- Australia look very like a settled unit from the top.
- Their playing XI has all but been confirmed.
- No other injury concern from the camp.
