PSL 2018 , Lahore
Karachi –
- The Kings have Luke Ronchi in the first qualifier.
- The Kings' performance levels have been incredibly inconsistent in recent weeks but they will be looking to raise their game.
- They batted rather well in the first innings but it was their bowling which failed against the might of Ronchi.
Peshawar –
- Zalmi continued their strong form at the business end of the season as they overcame the Quetta Gladiators by a solitary run on Tuesday and now face the Karachi Kings who they beat just last Thursday to help them reach the knockouts.-
Liam Dawson proved to be key for them on a good batting pitch as he smashed 62 from 35 balls but they will need more of their top order batsmen .
TEAM NEWS –
Karachi Kings –
- All their key international players made the trip to Lahore as Simmons, Ingram, Bopara, Mills and Denly all arrived safely in Pakistan and they will be available to start which is a major boost given the fact that Simmons especially was considered a doubt to make the journey.
- SHAHID AFRIDI HAS BEEN RULED OUT OF THE TOURNAMENT SO EXPECT HASAN MOHSIN OR USAMA MIR TO REPLACE HIM IN THE XI.
- With such stakes in hand they wouldn't tinker with rest of the XI.in
- Eoin Morgan has denied to travel to Pakistan so Simmons could replace him.
Peshawar–
- They won their last game in the last ball.
- Darren Sammy was really struggling with limping around and almost cost the game when he couldn't save a 4 with him limping around.
- If he isn't available expect Chris Jordan to replace him in the XI.
- Riki Wessels or Sabbir Rahman could come back in to the XI after Fletcher squandered his chance when given.
-Don't expect any other changes .
Pitch Report –
- Second consecutive game in Lahore so expect same conditions with swings initially on offer for the seamers.

Expert Advice –
- From WK Section there is no other choice to pick from when Kamran is present in that section who looks in great touch at the moment.
- From batting section you can consider dropping Tamim since there is huge credit issues and having one opener from each team makes sense.
- Babar Azam and Hafeez are default picks from the batting section with both of them coming to save their sides time and time again.
- You have to pick Joe Denly who is in good form and can tackle swing very easily.
- Ingram has been a great asset to the team who comes at a cheap cost but if you want a much cheaper finisher go for Saad Nasim.
- From AR there is only one option available at the moment that is Dawson who looked impeccable when everyone else fell like flies.
- I am going with 5 bowlers assuming that it will be a bowling track again and minimum of 15 wickets will fall.
- With that statement you and I both have to pick Hasan Ali, Wahab and Usman by default.
- For the last two spots you can pick from the lot.
- For VC consider Dawson or a bowler.
- For C consider a top order batsman.
Other Choices for C VC –
Babar Azam, Tamim Iqbal, Eoin Morgan
